چکیده

Context: Medical imaging has a wide range of applications in today’s society. Basic projectional radiography, CT scans, mammograms and other advanced technologies all use x-rays to create large number examinations every day across the world. The most essential component such medical equipment is x-ray tube, which creates produces x-rays. Objective: We describe investigate an abstract model-geometry simple tube utilizing open-source software package BEAMnrc EGSnrcmp family, well validated by several studies over years, for high low energy photons generation. Methodology: Our research focuses on two different electron beam energies: 120 keV 30 keV. typical radiographic exams examinations, whereas mammography. Results: Two anode materials are used each case, Gold (Au) Tungsten (W) because these common radiography CT; Molybdenum (Mo) Rhodium (Rh) with targets mammography carried out. aim this work show how can simulate effectively generation low-energy utilized modern procedures. useful information anode-target characteristics, as angle, material, metal filter materials, based previous quality even using than BEAMnrc. Conclusion: demonstrate that be efficiently Monte Carlo modeling photons.

Unfolding X-ray spectrum in the diagnostic range using the Monte Carlo Code MCNP5

Introduction: Unfolding X-ray spectrum is a powerful tool for quality control of X-ray tubes. Generally, the acquisition of the X-ray spectrum in diagnostic radiology departments is complicated and difficult due to high photon flux. Measurement of x ray spectra using radiation detectors could not be performed accurately, because of the pulse pile up. Therefore, indirect methods...

Evaluation of X-ray absorbed dose in thyroid during CXR imaging of the chest by Monte Carlo simulation (DOSXYZnrc)

Abstract:   Introduction: Chest radiography is one of the most common X-ray imaging procedures performed worldwide. During this process, in addition to the chest, other tissues, including the thyroid, are also exposed to radiation. Due to the fact that one of the most important risk factors for thyroid cancer is ionizing radiation, measuring the absorption of X- rays in the thyroid is of spec...

Assessment of X-Ray Crosstalk in a Computed Tomography Scanner with Small Detector Elements Using Monte Carlo Method

Introduction: Crosstalk is a leakage of X-ray or light produced in a matrix of X-ray detectors or array of photodiodes in one element to other elements affecting on image contrast and spatial resolution. In this study, we assessed X-ray crosstalk in a computed tomography (CT) scanner with small detector elements to estimate the effect of various parameters such as X-ray tube voltage, detector e...

Assessment of Effect Technical Directional Bremsstrahlung Splitting (DBS) on Spectra and Parameters of Simulation with Monte carlo Method BEAMnrc Code (Study Monte Carlo)

Introduction: Previous studies have shown that a Monte Carlo method for the transportations photon beam in medical linear accelerator is a good way. Strip of simulation can be used to measure the dose distribution in phantoms and patients' body. EGSnrc Code is the only code written for use in the field of radiation therapy that has many subset codes that BEAMnrc code is an impo...

X-ray microanalysis of porous materials using Monte Carlo simulations.

Quantitative X-ray microanalysis models, such as ZAF or φ(ρz) methods, are normally based on solid, flat-polished specimens. This limits their use in various domains where porous materials are studied, such as powder metallurgy, catalysts, foams, etc. Previous experimental studies have shown that an increase in porosity leads to a deficit in X-ray emission for various materials, such as graphit...
